About Me
Multimedia Creative, Videographer, Editor, Photographer, Writer, Illustrator & Graphic Designer
I am presently a graduated Humanities Honours student of the University of Cape Town, majoring in Multimedia Journalism, English Literature Studies and Historical Studies with my Honours in Media Theory & Practice. In addition to the work required of me by my degree, I also busy myself with freelance writing, editing, illustration, graphic design, videography, photography & video editing for local clients ranging from punk bands to lit mags. I have an overarching passion for uniquely South African expression and thus wish to reveal or preserve through my work the innately human and exceptionally rare world this country provides, no matter where in it that may be.
Originally hailing from Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, I find particular interest in the examining of Cape Town's history (both fond and repressed), and have a knack for documenting overlooked matters of human interest. Whilst I have a preference for soft news (particularly music journalism), I am not unable to locate hard news angles on things; particularly where infrastructural failings and community inequality are concerned.
Personal hobbies include a multitude of photography projects, making & editing small documentaries, amateur archiving of various media, music production, short-story and soft journalistic writing, restoring and using analogue technologies, as well as getting everywhere via bicycle.
